Ascension Dust represents what falls to Earth with Man's ascent. Some invisible detritus that is the yield of our aspiration. Knowledge begets technology, and with new technology comes the dispersement and advance of further knowledge. The printing press allowed the prolific creation of books and prints that al-lowed us to view what was previously limited to the vision of a few. But in doing so, we not only turned our eyes from the storyteller and the artist, but our own surroundings as we isolated our view. We now possess small screens that allow us to see millions of books, paintings, videos of celebrities, dogs and cats. Transfixed we hold our gaze until our eyes burn. We rub our eyes to clear our view and realize that it is wax feathers fallen from winged figures crushed within the iris of the sun, clouding our vision and irritating our view.
