Aiyushi’s art career began seriously at the age of 18 going on to graduate from Manchester School of Architecture. Although architecture has influenced her work to an extent through space and form, her artwork has been more heavily influenced through travel. Absorbing colours and textures from lands beyond her doorstep. In 2013, Aiyushi retrained as a lawyer specialising in Human Rights and Litigation. Painting, in particular abstract expressionism, became her form of stress relief and an outlet. The mediums are varied from each collection. Watercolour and ink, oil and oil pastels or acrylics and gold leaf. Take a blank canvas and begin. It may take a day, it may take a month, whatever it may be, it is an expressionist channel of freedom. Aiyushi has been influenced by some of the greats. Frida Kahlo (her vibrant colour palletes), Pablo Picasso (space and form), Franz Marc (dynamic and cubism), Paul Klee (surrealism). Please enjoy and endure the work.
