Description
All of Me is a self-portrait of the artist Chrysovalantou Frangos exploring her relationship with her mind, body, and spirit. Exploring the theme “Paraiso” she created an artwork that ex-pressed the freedom, intimacy, and connection she feels within her mind, body, and spirit. Peace and freedom to the artist mean the liberty to explore her relationship with her mind, body, spir-it, and faith with God. She envisions her spirituality and God as the moon and stars in the mid-night sky that is tranquil and silent. That without the light of the moon and stars the night would be gloom and iniquity. The three portraits of Chrysovalantou symbolise the parts of her identity. Although she is still exploring and uncovering her connection and depth with God, she feels his presence within her. She reveals that by loving her body, mind, and spirit she developed a con-nection with God. Freedom to the artist is to express her ego, the fire and passion of her soul, love and connection with her body, uniqueness of self and her relationship with God. All of Me is the world her soul, spirit, body, and mind feel they belong.
