Jennifer Bothast lives with her wife in a small suburb of Jacksonville, Florida. She works in the healing arts but her quest for survival is through the self-expression and exploration of her writing and painting. She sets down her initial intentions in charcoal, using her intuition, emotions and movement while often painting as a channeled form of meditation or prayer.
Jennifer strives to paint various subject matter focused mainly on spiritual concepts such as light, frequency and energy with a prime focus on connection and unity. She states she has always been fascinated with the way the light glows through stained glass and being moved to tears as a small child while walking along the rows of stained- glass windows in church, not only because of the story telling in the imagery but by the transcendent beauty of the colored light itself.
Jennifer believes it is the responsibility of each of us to shine a light through the darkness, however we possibly can as much as we can. This is a calling to document the work of our own healing, doing what is necessary to blaze open this trail of light so that we can all shine as bright as we are able. We owe our existence at least that much.
