Nils Lagergren is a contemporary artist mainly working in papercut art techniques and mixed media sculptures. He is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
In many of his art projects, Nils explores the concept of time, aging and transformation. In his art project “Paperworld” he uses old fashioned layer-on-layer paper collage techniques to cre-ate images that sometimes borders 2.5D and visually draws inspiration from vintage travel posters and children books from a distant childhood. In his art project “Ghost fleet” he builds ships that he sinks in the Baltic Sea, to let Nature transform them into shipwrecks. Storytelling and the concept and perception of time is always present in his works, for example how time changes both our appearance and our perception of the world.
