Bio

Kersti Pia Runland Kersti Pia Runland f. 1967 - Artist from Sealand in Denmark Studied art for 1 year at Niels Gerhard Stevns classes of art. She has been creative most of her life and is from a family where creativity and expressing her artistic sides was important lessons in life. Kersti does a lot for charity and has devoted her heart for danish veterans both among soldiers and among veterans of the police force. In the difficult times of Covid-19, she has made 100 posters in the size of A3, with the text \"toghether we can make it\", for the first responders and others fighting in the battle against Covid-19. A few of the posters are now in a museum in Holbæk/Denmark. Kersti is painting colourful happy paintings, some with a quote some without, but it leaves us all with a feeling of joy and hope for the future. Kersti makes portraits too, and she loves to immerse herself into the world of naturalism and tight curves as a contrast to the naive paintings with a lot of colours. \"It kind of makes balance in my life\", she says. Kersti has sold a painting of a soldier at a charity event, where Alexa Bruun Rasmussen from Bruun Rasmussens kunstauktioner in Copenhagen was responsible for the auction.
