London born artist Hermione Burrell completed her BA hons in Fine art at Oxford Brookes University, and now lives and works in Oxford. Within her work she uses the concept of confession to help unravel her complex experiences of mental illness which began at the age of 10. She sees her own mind as her muse, and she exhibits this metaphorically within her work as an act of liberation. Every painting is wholeheartedly cathartic and mirrors exactly what she feels at the time; heartbreak, love, grief, anger, and euphoria scream the unvarnished truth of her lived experiences through paint and mixed media.
