Miiko is an artist born and raised in Kagawa, Japan. After graduating from high school, she went to the U.S. to study business at university. After returning to Japan, she worked in sales promotion and advertising for a mail order company, and as an interior coordinator for a housing company. These may seem unrelated to art, but what they all have in common is "expressing and communicating", such as "working with color”. Now, Miiko is realizing this through art.
She started to create art in 2021. Alcohol ink art, which is unpredictable, directly reflects her mind. When she accepts not only the positive side of herself, such as kindness, cheerfulness and love, but also the negative side, such as sadness, anger, and jealousy, as they are, they give depth to the art and sublimate into a powerful element that shakes the viewer's emotions.
Miiko’s art is inspired and created from her own and other people's emotions. She believes that although it is one substance, its essence is “living energy”.
