The title of this painting describes very well the result of the work. Although "Organic Abstrac-tion" has been described as a feature rather than an actual movement, the style emerged in part as a reaction against the austerity of constructivist art in the mid-20th century and became known by its practitioners, in sculpture. —Jean Arp, Constantin Brâncuși, Henry Moore—, in ar-chitecture or design. Some recent critics argue that the term biomorphic abstraction is being used more generally to describe contemporary art produced in this way.
