Brian Legan Legan Arts Studio American Contemporary Artist and Creative Visualist Brian Legan utilizes an array of media in explorative process in both a serene and intense manner. His abstract expressionist pieces and figurative narratives reveal a devotion to craft and reflect a lifelong endeavor to create meaningful work. When not in his studio, Brian is an arts educator, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has received numerous awards and accolades over the course of his career and also served as Chief Curator for the Notable D.C. Loft Gallery.
Brian is currently represented by Kyo Gallery in Alexandria, Virginia. His works have been exhibited both nationally and internationally- as well as appearing in major art publications. My work comes from a place of insight, passion and contemplative endeavors. From my formative years onward, I have been on an internal and external journey. From the ancient to the novel. From the serene to the dynamic. From the celestial to the infinitesimal. Casting a net to capture all of it. Imbuing narratives-whether abstract or representational- with an inner compass- I’ve been growing, learning and refining my whole life- to guide my compositions, colors and subjects. Upon creating these offerings, I am inviting the patron/viewer an inner Rorschach moment; accepting an invitation to wade in and immerse themselves into the meaningful realm of my works.
