Kamazuri is a Montreal-based French artist. In his research, Kamazuri uses photography to ex-plore the realms of existence and perceptions. Kamazuri focuses on reflection, moving beyond the simple observation of works, creating issues in our way of thinking, changing the way some-thing is regarded, understood, or interpreted. To date, his works have explored the complexi-ties of consciousness creating performances interpreted by contemporary music and texts inside the environment; the relationship between the human being and the environment through dia-logues between art and spirituality, focused on daily transformations, using digital interventions and exploring different materials to give photography new possibilities... Kamazuri likes to mix photography, writing, and the music he composes. Being a filmmaker, he also makes music vid-eos and short films. Here is what Kamazuri says about himself: "My goal is to build up a story in my shots. Find something that has never been highlighted in this object, person, or landscape before. One of the main things in photography is considering the object, the story, and the light. Then the photograph gains volume. If you want to shoot a particular scene, don't just take one shot; make a story of the place. The story is more exciting than just one shot! For me, pho-tography is more than a job. It's creativity; it's self-actualization. You were searching for a good shot, the moment of sadness. That incredible feeling of joy when you've caught the dawn or found a new composition, a new solution. You're pushing the boundaries. At first, you think you can only do this and that, and then at some point, you step outside the box and realize you've just done something new.
